Q	Do Huxley Greens and Tees need a special base?
A	Yes, the groundwork and the base construction are just as important as the final preparation and commissioning of the playing surface. The type of base construction varies according to the product. Most Huxley All-Weather Greens have our specially developed sand sub-base with unique supporting cell structure.
Q	Can we install Huxley Greens, Tees or Pathways ourselves?
A	Our prime concern is to ensure that customers are completely happy with their Huxley All-Weather Green, Tee or Pathway and be confident that correct installation will lead to many years of service and enjoyment. For this reason, we strongly recommend that installation is carried out by Huxley Golf or by an appointed Huxley Golf Distributor Installer. In certain cases where customers are a long way from an appointed Distributor, we can normally arrange for an experienced Huxley Installation Supervisor to work with local staff provided by the customer. We will be happy to discuss with you the most appropriate arrangements.
Q	How much do your All-Weather Greens cost?
A	Installed costs will obviously vary according to green size, transport cost, travel distance, groundwork and so on. As a guide, in the UK, fully-installed prices for a Huxley All-Weather Outdoor Putting and Chipping Green start at less than £3,000 (including carriage and VAT). If you contact us, we or your local Huxley Golf Distributor can give you a budget price for your requirements prior to a site visit and firm quotation. You may be interested to know that our new range of Huxley Modular Greens offers fast, simple DIY assembly at prices from around £300, including VAT and carriage.
Q	How much space do I need for a Huxley Green?
A	The smallest All-Weather Outdoor Putting and Chipping Green, mentioned above, will go almost anywhere - and yet it has the same premier quality putting surface as the Huxley Greens installed for many of the world's top golfers. We offer a very wide range of sizes from 15ft x 12ft (4.57m x 3.64m) upwards. The most popular sizes are 15ft x 30ft (4.57m x 9.14m), 30ft x 30ft (9.14m x 9.14m) and 30ft x 45ft (9.14m x 18.29m) but we can install almost any size of green to suit your available space and your budget. All sizes quoted are nominal, before shaping, trimming and turf overlay. NB: Our new Huxley Modular Greens for DIY assembly are available in sizes from just 2ft x 9ft (0.6m x 2.7m). Q	How do Huxley All-Weather Greens compare with natural grass greens?
A	Top Tour Professionals have told us that, in their opinion, Huxley Greens are much better than natural grass greens for all-year-round quality and consistency. In fact Ian Woosnam, who has his own Huxley All-Weather Green at home, has said: "With the weather conditions in the UK, it's almost impossible to produce good natural grass greens to practice on all-year round". Another big benefit is that you have no mowing, watering or turf maintenance to worry about.
Q	What maintenance is required for the Greens?
A	Very little. Occasionally, you will probably need to brush off any leaves or debris that have fallen on to the surface. A leaf blower is an asset on larger greens. An occasional rolling with a light garden roller will keep the surface true, and you can even achieve an impressive "mown" striped look, if you want to, by using a soft brush. Q	What do Huxley All-Weather Tees and Practice Areas cost?
A	In the UK, installed prices for Huxley All-Weather Golf Course Tees start from under £2000, depending on quantity, size, location, travel distance, groundwork and so on. Practice Tee Areas can range in size up to 4yds x 25 yds (3.66m x 22.86m) or larger, and so we would need to quote you for your specific requirements.
Q	What is the difference between Huxley Turfill®- filled Tees and Huxley Premier Nylon Tees?
A	Huxley Turfill® filled Tees are normally ideal for use on golf course tee areas because the special turf looks and plays just like natural grass. Golfers can either play off a standard tee peg, which they can insert anywhere in the turf, or play directly off the surface. Top golfers enjoy being able to "work the ball" from the Huxley Turf just as they can from top-quality natural grass. However, Huxley Turfill®- filled Turf does require some maintenance, so this important factor should be remembered if it is to be used on a Practice Tee Area where the wear and maintenance requirement will be considerably higher. Huxley Premier Nylon Tee Turf is an ideal Practice Tee surface because it is very "forgiving" and enjoyable to play off, it is very hard-wearing and it is almost maintenance-free. Several European Tour Pros have had Huxley Premier Nylon Tee Turf installed close to their Huxley Greens, so that they can practice their chipping from a quality surface all-year round. Although you cannot insert a standard tee peg in the turf pile, you can use rubber mat tees. It does not require a Turfillâ filler.
Q	What is Huxley Turfill®?
A	Huxley Turfill® is the unique, specially-manufactured colour-fast filler, which combines with the turf fibres to produce a superb, free-draining surface all-year round. Turfill® One is used for Huxley Turfill®- filled Tees, and Turfill® Two is used for Huxley Putting Greens and Golf Greens.
